What to expect

Look, training should be fun. For you, for your dog, for everyone involved. My whole approach is built around creating those moments where you and your dog just click - where suddenly everything makes sense and you both remember why you fell in love with this sport in the first place.

Every dog is different, every team is different, and every workshop reflects that. We'll learn from your dog because, let's be honest, they know what they're doing in the wild world of odor better than we do. My job is just to help you appreciate how awesome they are while understanding what they're telling you during all aspects of the search.
Let's Make It Happen

A little bit about me
I became obsessed with nose work in 2011 (back when it was still the "new thing"!) and became a Certified Nose Work Instructor™ in March of 2016. Since 2017, I've been working professionally with conservation detection dogs - a unique field where dogs are trained to locate anything from invasive to endangered species of plants, animals, and contaminants. There's something pretty amazing about watching a dog's natural abilities translate from finding birch in a box to locating an underground bumble bee nest!

Since I became involved with nose work, I've seen pretty much every possible way a search can be a thing of magic - or go a bit awry. The cool thing about working with professional detection dogs is that it's reminded me that scent work should always be FUN for your dog… and you. Whether they’re a Labrador Retriever finding endangered turtles or a three-legged Chihuahua-Pittie mix hunting down anise.
