Thank you to everyone who attended!
Please read the FAQs before registering.
Think of it as a "drive through" enrichment activity for you and your dog! There are 4 separate "sensory" stations that allow your dog to explore using their sense of smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Each station is supervised by a professional dog trainer or enrichment specialist and friendly gate stewards help guide you around.
Each team (you and your dog) registers in advance to reserve a spot. Once registration closes, you'll be assigned a designated time slot to show-up with your dog. Once you arrive, you check-in at the registration desk (leave your dog in your car), and then you will be notified when you can come to the first sensory station. You and your dog go from one station to the next, in a one-way traffic flow. Once you're done, you head back to the car and leave!
Besides your best friend, please plan for the following on event day:
Bring your dog on a 6 foot leash.
Have a longer leash (10-20 feet long) with you, if you have one.
Bring at least 2 measuring cups' worth of your dogs favorite food.
Be sure to have at least 2 different types of food for your dog.
You will be able to use food/treats in each Sensory Station, so we recommend bringing a lot of snacks!
What else:
Potty clean-up supplies will be available in each station area.
If your dog pees or poops and is a green or yellow ribbon dog, the station leader will hold your dog while you clean-up. If your dog is a red ribbon dog, we'll clean up for you.
Community water bowls will be supplied in each station area. Bring your own water and bowl if your dog prefers their own
We've done our very best to set-up an experience that will allow your dog to feel safe. Once they are in the building, they will not see other dogs (but may hear them). We're happy to help evaluate if your dog will be happy at the event. Please contact us at laura@connectingwithdogs.com.
Multiple dogs from the same household are welcome, but will be assigned individual timeslots. This is to ensure safety of all dogs and people and help keep our schedule running smoothly. Please register each dog separately.
